Ronald Bolen has 16 years experience in the development of financing strategies for electric power generation assets and early stage private equity investments in renewable energy ventures including hydro, geothermal, and biomass. Mr. Bolen is presently Managing Director with The InvestLinc Group developing innovative financing mechanisms for conventional power plant upgrades in the Philippines and other developing countries in the Asia Pacific region. His experience includes executive positions at several power utilities and in private equity firms with responsibilities covering investment strategies for conventional power plant upgrades, both domestically and internationally, and renewable energy technologies. Earlier in his career, Mr. Bolen was an associate in the corporate finance division within the energy group of a major NYC securities firm and also worked for several years as an associate lawyer. Mr. Bolen received his BBA and JD degrees from the University of Oklahoma and an MBA degree from the New York University Stern School of Business.

Nigel Protter has been a pioneer in the development of the Canadian ocean energy industry and has been involved in the planning and development of renewable energy resources in British Columbia since 1992. Mr. Protter has served as President of SyncWave Energy Inc., a technology development company since 2004 and is now President of the new SyncWave Systems commercialization company. He is also Founder and Managing Director of Exergetics Development Company, a consultancy focused on large-scale green energy project and policy developments. Mr. Protter is a co-founder and past Director of the Ocean Renewable Energy Group (Canada), a member of the B.C. Wind Energy Working Group, and a past Director of the Independent Power Producers Association of B.C. Prior to his involvement with ocean energy, Mr. Protter established several successful IT and consulting ventures. Mr. Protter received his BA and MBA degrees from Simon Fraser University in Vancouver, B.C.

David Rains has worked for the past 30 years in the sales, application engineering, and project management of large electric motor, drive, and control systems for primarily chemical, construction, marine, oil and gas, pipeline, and power generation clients. Mr. Rains is presently Oil, Gas, and Petrochemical Industry Manager for WEG Electric Motors and was previously Director of Project Sales - Drives, Motors & Machines for ABB Automation. Prior to ABB, Mr. Rains owned and operated his own manufacturers’ rep agency for 10 years that application engineered and sold electric motor, drive and control systems into both commercial and industrial markets. Early in his career, he held various project management and market development positions. Mr. Rains received a B.Sc. from The City University in London, a National Certificate in Electrical Engineering from Medway College of Technology, and passed his Engineering and Industrial Training Board – Electrical & Electronic Engineering (UK). He is also an active member of IEEE and serves on several IEEE Workings Groups.
