SyncWave Systems is a technology commercialzation venture formed by Marinus Power LLC and SyncWave Energy Inc (SEI), of Pemberton, British Columbia dedicated to bringing SyncWave Power Resonator and associated technologies to market.
In 2006, SEI was convinced it had developed perhaps the most promising wave energy technology yet invented, and this belief had been validated and affirmed by several third party experts. In addition, several Pacific Northwest coastal communities expressed interest small, off-the-grid wave enrgy projects once SEI had a commercially viable device.
Next step for SEI was to raise funds for the engineering, fabrication, deployment, and ocean testing of a first generation SyncWave device. It made sense for SEI to identify potential partners with credibility and know-how to raise capital and to the provide requisite ocean engineering and management skills. OceanWorks International, a prior engineering contracter to SEI, facilitated the introduction of SEI to Marinus Power. In due course SEI and Marinus teamed to form SyncWave Systems and are now moving ahead with that project.
